Problem to Solve: The company’s complicated 14-day process to create a new retailer account was resulting in few prospects and lost sales via the website from potential new customers trying to place their first order.
Solution: Leading the initiative to improve both the online experience and eliminate a paper application, I was part of a team that outlined the project requirements, gathered research, and conducted surveys and focus groups. I presented a complete redesign of the interface, sections, and process flow that put the company’s paper application completely online. Website account activation happens in less than an hour, and the internal process to create a new account and ship out shortened from 14 days to a max of 3 business days.
